Abstract

In the digital era all hospitals throughout Indonesia began to improve the
quality of health service management by implementing computer-based hospital
management information system. Hospital services include health care and
administrative services. Health services include medical services, medical support
services, medical rehabilitation and nursing care services. One type of medical
support service is radiology services performed in a radiological installation. In the
radiology installation of RSUD I Lagaligo West Java province has several problems
with data processing system services ranging from data input, data processing and
data output. The radiology equipment facility (modality tool) has been using a
digital system but there is no data integration between the SIMRS application and
the application on the modalities tool. So that required system development to
integrate this application. The purpose of this research is to produce the design of
radiology information system which is useful to support the improvement of service
to the patient in the radiology installation of RSUD I Lagaligo.
The design of this radiology information system uses the Prototype method
with steps Requirements Gathering and Analysis, Quick Design, Build Prototype,
User Evaluation, dan Refining Prototype. This research design using qualitative
approach with grounded theory method. Data analysis in this research is by data
reduction, data presentation and conclusion from the results of this study can be
concluded that the design of radiology information systems help solve system
problems in previous radiological installations. The design of this system is able to
perform bridging system by combining SIMRS application and work list application
in modal tool. Bridging system is able to homogenize data from front office to back
office, radiology examination results can be accessed online. The design of
radiology information system is web-based so that radiology examination service
can be accessed online by patient or family by paying attention to medical code of
ethics.
